Call for Abstracts for 2012 FOS Annual Meeting

Deadline to submit material is December 15, 2011!

The Florida Orthopaedic Society is now accepting abstract submissions and Resident and Fellow Research Competition submissions for the 2012 FOS Scientific Annual Meeting.  The 2012 Annual Meeting is taking place May 31 to June 3 at The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota, FL. 

All abstracts and Resident and Fellow Competition papers must be submitted by December 15, 2011 to be considered by the Program Committee.  Instructions for regular abstract submissions and the 2012 Resident and Fellows Research Competition are included on the blog.   In addition to the abstract information, all submissions should be accompanied by a completed AAOS Financial Disclosure Form and an AAOS FDA Disclosure Form, also on the FOS blog.

FOS Annual Meeting Accredited for 13 CME Hours

We are extremely pleased to release the program and registration details for the 2011 Florida Orthopaedic Society Annual Meeting taking place May 19-22, 2011 at the Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek.

The program has been accredited for 13 hours of category 1 CME.

Attached to this email is the preliminary program, registration form, and housing instructions.

This year’s meeting promises to build upon our tradition of providing stimulating educational content in world class destinations.  Some highlights of this year’s meeting include:

·         Subspecialty Breakout Sessions in Adult Reconstruction, Spine, Sports Medicine, Trauma, Hand, Shoulder & Elbow, Foot & Ankle, and Oncology.

·         The AAOS Communications Workshop

·         Orthobowl and Residency Program Updates

And of course we will have some fun as well with our annual golf tournament and this year’s signature event, the Preakness Stakes Dinner and viewing party.

Dear BSOF Members,

The Board of Directors for the Bones Society of Florida is extremely pleased to unveil the preliminary program for the 2009 BSOF Annual Meeting.  The meeting is taking place September 25-27 at the Marriott Harbor Beach Resort & Spa in Fort Lauderdale. 

We are busy creating a fancy brochure to distribute to everyone but did not want to waste any time in sharing what we have planned.  I have attached the agenda as well as the housing instructions and a registration form.  We are ready for you to make plans, secure your hotel rooms, and return your registration forms. 

We are looking forward to continuing to build upon our reputation of offering stimulating educational content and unmatched networking opportunities with colleagues around the state.  We anticipate this year’s meeting will be our largest yet and encourage you to make plans to participate. 

You will note on the program that we still have to finalize some of the content specifically relating to Ancillary Services.  We want your help in crafting your content.  Please look for a survey in the coming days asking for your input as we incorporate the topics you want to hear into the program. 

We also have a series of panel discussions and breakout sessions planned for which we will be seeking volunteers.  If you would like to volunteer to facilitate a breakout session or serve on a panel discussion, please feel free to submit your name to us.

BSOF Annual Meeting – Only Tens Day Away!

Abstract Submission Deadline for FOS Annual Meeting - January 1, 2008

The Florida Orthopaedic Society is now accepting abstract submissions, Resident and Fellow Research Competition submissions, and registrations for the 2008 FOS Scientific Annual Meeting.  The 2008 Annual Meeting is taking place May 15-18, 2008 at the Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo, Florida.  Attached to this posting is all the information you will need to submit abstracts, competition papers, register for the meeting, and start to plan your participation.  All of this information will be added to the FOS website in the coming days.   

All abstracts and Resident and Fellow Competition papers must be submitted by January 1, 2008 to be considered by the Program Committee.  Instructions for regular abstract submissions and the 2008 Resident and Fellows Research Competition are attached. Please let me know if you have any questions.
