Many of you are making your final preparations to participate in the Workers Compensation Educational Conference taking place August 12-15, 2007 at the Orlando World Center Marriott. I wanted to let you know that the Florida Orthopaedic Society will again have a strong showing at this year’s conference and we hope to see you there.
There are two events I want to call your attention to: 1) Orthopaedic Breakout Session and 2) FOS Reception for Surgeons and Staff.
1) Orthopaedic Breakout Session – The FOS will facilitate this educational session on Tuesday, August 14th from 1-3 pm, Crystal Ballroom G. Attached is the agenda that we have put together for the session. We would like to thank those surgeons who are participating. This is the second year we have been asked to facilitate this breakout and we plan to continue in the future. If you have any surgeons who would like to speak at next year’s meeting, please let me know. We will be reviewing all proposed speakers and topics in the fall to finalize the program for the 2008 meeting.

2) FOS Reception for Surgeons and Staff – Now for some fun! The FOS will host our annual reception for orthopaedic surgeons and staff on Tuesday, August 14th from 5-6:30 pm in Crystal Ballroom N. We hope you will stop by and enjoy some networking and refreshments with your colleagues from around the state. The reception will be immediately across from the exhibit hall in Crystal Ballroom N, so it’s the perfect chance to unwind after a long day of education and exhibiting. I have attached an invitation to the reception to this email. Please feel free to forward this to anyone who may be interested. Again, please remember this is for the surgeons and their staff, so we invite you all to participate.

This year’s reception is being sponsored by Linear Solutions and Specialty Brace & Limb. We sincerely appreciate their commitment to our organizations. Please make sure you introduce yourself and thank them for their support.
Thank you as always for your continued membership and participation in the Florida Orthopaedic Society. Please send an email if you have any questions.
